$160/kWh is getting low. I'd like to see prices per kWh drop on the Ecoflow products which are more turn key and ready to go.

Ecoflow has a perpetual sale model, at any given day the price you see is the fake "price anchor".

The inflated normal price gets some people to buy things at a higher price and rip them off unfortunately, but the real purpose is to create impulse buys when you see that thing you wanted "on sale" finaly and unlike a real sale 1 time a year or so they have a different made up sale every month, with the same discounts.

That said prices are dropping, mostly because of the competition with other products in the same category like Anker and Bluetti (I just ordered the Apex 300 myself)

But none of them are going to touch the DIY segment in value.

This battery for $800 is a GOOD deal and what I am build my next system off of.
But you can also get a 15,000Wh battery with a JK BMS for under $2000 and all you have to do is bolt it together... that is an even BETTER deal and so if your shopping value, you will never ever get something like Ecoflow to get even close to as cheap as DIY.

As one goes down so will the other, but always a good distance apart.

Also depending on what you are looking for, this DIY stuff is a lot more turn key than people give credit. They even have started to make product to directly compete with that segment like this one: https://www.eco-worthy.com/produc...5GEALw_wcB

I wish the batteries for companies that do inverters as well would go down.. I tried to get quotes on solar and none of them want to do inverters that do 48v battery systems like these. They point to the high voltage ones but it's frustrating because they cost so much. Powerwall 3's are like 11k and have 13.5kw. You buy 11k of these and you get like 63kw. Yes I know it's "not the same" but it's still crazy the extensions are even like 7-8k.

You are prob going to see it drop even lower now that Trump killed off the federal tax credits 8 years early. Companies are gonna want to dump stock to take advantage of this while they can.

I wanted to buy a battery directly from China, the local price was close to $600 without any taxes, duties or shipping. Not much room for price reduction, the only hope is that the trend for cheaper batteries will continue.

How much does it cost to buy and ship from China?

They quoted a "door to door" price, and it was close to Amazon pricing- but no practical possibility to return and a questionable warranty. I was importing a whole container and wanted to put the batteries in it, but my shipping agent refused. The batteries require special handling and can't be shipped in a container with common goods.
