The 18 Volt fuel vacuum sucks like a champ and is quieter compared to the 18 Volt & 12 Volt non-fuel version. Also, the hose is on the outside for extra convenience & speed compared to the one you have to wrap under the lid.

If you want the battery, then this is a better deal:

The battery in the OP's deal is the 5.0Ah XC (Extended Capacity) option.

Thanks! The other deal seems better if you want to keep the battery, but I didn't so this is a great deal for me. Picked this up to replace my OG one (both are good, this one is better for me).

How does the vac stack up compared to a mid-sized shop vac? The CFM on it isn't even 1/3rd of what my shopvac shows.
I don't plan on hooking a table saw or something up to it, mainly want to use it for cleaning the car and small jobs, but i have a kid and an even messier dog so it takes a bit more than a dustbuster to do a good job.

How does this vac compare to the regular M18 portable vac?

It's not as powerful as a shop vac, but it doesn't clog easily and seems to keep suction better due to the hose length and smaller diameter. The main benefit to this one is portability. Super easy to get this to where you need it. Perfect for cleanup after small jobs.

Bought this last year with a hack. Been using it around the house as a DIY home owner and love it. Cleans the cars well. Sucks up drywall dust when I cut using multi tool. I use it with the dust bags which makes clean up a breeze. Only downside is I bet a new one is on the horizon, this has been out awhile, and I'm going to want that one.

This can get down to $104.76 if you add the impact driver as the free gift instead of the battery.

Yes, it's about $20 less with the same battery.

Works great for that. I have a full size Ridgid vac and this. I grab this 99% of the time. Just use the Ridgid when I have larger debris or know I'll be vacuuming 10+ minutes. I just run 6.0 HOs in mine and don't have to
swap them out that often. I do appreciate having both though so don't view it as a replacement for a full size.

Project farm is showing an older model - 2.0 gallon non-fuel model 0880-20. This is 2.5 gallon fuel model 0970-20

Quieter with more suction. Can use disposable bags which is great for drywall dust. Can attach to pack out. Better in every way.

I'm seeing $113.80 for the vacuum and $85 for the impact driver
