Meh. Costco daily price is 0.25c per tab, this is 0.29c each Costco also has frequent sales on this bringing it down a good bit more Not a steal, but not a bad price if you're running low now and need some fast

Be careful with these. I started taking vitamin d daily in approximately this dose and started having weird heart issues that went away when I stopped taking them

Reminder that D3 is *NOT* water soluble (excessive amounts stays in your fat instead of just peeing it out) so please only take D3 supplements if your medical person of choice says you need more D3 in your life.

That said the mayo clinic says *UP TO* 2000 IU a day in supplements is generally considered safe for healthy adults: https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.or...do-i-need/

This supplement and the Costco supplement were both Consumerlab's top pick for vitamin D supplements.

As you mention 2000IU is probably ok, especially during the winter and/or northern latitudes. Getting your levels checked without a doctor is only ~$45 https://ownyourlabs.com/product/v...5-hydroxy/

Most people are significantly deficient as opposed to overdosing Having serial levels checked is a great way to:1. Get a baseline 2. Know how your body is responding to supplementation

Nice site (though a surprisingly high number of states aren't allowing it.) An online friend used to do something similar to this where you would sign for apob/full panel they'd send you a kit and you would send off your blood (it hemorrhaged money and after a year she closed down I think 1+ years ago) this one requires phlebotomists in your local area so presumably there is less owner expenses. Only downside I see is it doesn't seem to give a list of the participating places until after you check out which is a dash worrying to rural me, but hopefully they will add the option for truly remote checks as well in the future as this is very much the future.🤞

ownyourlabs uses LabCorp for their draws.
jasonhealth uses Quest for their draws.
jasonhealth has a fixed lab fee of $18 on top of what tests you choose so it tends to be better for multiple tests at once instead of single one off tests.
But also if you only have LabCorp or only have Quest near you that can be the deciding factor.
