1699 was Christmas holiday pricing for this config only for a few days when M4 pro was brand new launch.
1499 is the best you will get at the brink of M5 launch. Historically that's been the case.

Costco had the M3 Pro 14" version equivalent of the one in this deal for $1000 back in January. Looking at how aggressively M4 models are discounted now, I would say it's definitely possible

Oh you should have gotten M3 pro then and put 8 months of use out of it. It's a never ending cycle mate to get the deal

I am in the same boat. If it were $1500 I would have jumped in right away. Severally years ago I got an Apple MacBook Pro with M1 Pro 16GB for $1500 but it's refurbished. I doubt if M4 Pro new can hit $1500 any time soon. Maybe $1599 during Thanksgiving?

That was "In-Store Only Clearance offer, pricing and available for purchase will vary from store to store." And 18GB.

I say wait. Retail completely sucks right now. I am not joking. Especially higher ticket items of any kind. People are focused on things they need more than want. Laptops may cross into both. Hold tight until at least black friday weekend. If you buy from Costco they will price match at least 30 days, but you can always return/rebuy if past 30 days.

I'm not getting why this is being downvoted.

IMHO $300 off the regular Apple retail price and with the Costco return policy and warranty, this is an excellent deal for an M4pro chip-equipped MBP.
