While the G series are awesome, I am not sure it is worth $1000 premium over the 77" C5 ($2799 - BB also). Obviously LG Partner Store is the way to go if you have access!

Why is partner store great? I've heard all the bad stories on how the returns and the way issues are handled is waaayyy worse for products purchased from there.

I was referring to the price advantage of the Partner Store. Returns may be a headache but the problems handling aspect (warranty claims) should be the same regardless of where you bought your tv!

I have a 65" C5 and a 77" G5. There's really no comparison in terms of image quality. The G5 looks like a new technology it's so bright, and colors are obviously more vibrant. Not a cheap set, but if you can afford it the G5 is phenomenal.

When you say the G5 is bright, do you mean when watching in a bright room? I can't imagine even a C5 let alone a G5 using its maximum potential brightness in a light controlled environment for critical viewing.
Regarding colors, I've heard the G5 has moved a significant step above the previous generations but it's still lagging the QD OLEDs in terms of color volume.
Are you actually able to view the difference in colors between the two TVs? Do you have them side by side?
I ask because I cannot really see the difference in the colors between my LG C3 OLED and my much superior Samsung QD OLED panel.
