You're right. I got rid of my plus membership after they did away with free shipping and somehow still thought that was the case.

Would this be a good fit for working in the attic, cars, and other areas of a house with low light? Was looking at work lights but the magnet seems useful.

I wonder why the same company could offer free shipping with no minimum to Walmart+ members but not Sam's Club members. Either Walmart operates at a higher margin than Sam's or Sam's membership fee is comparatively lower.

I think it's less about cost and more about competition.

Amazon offers free shipping to members, so Walmart has to offer free shipping for members to be competitive for online orders.

Costco charges lower prices in warehouse aka charges for shipping, so Sams Club has more flexibility while still being competitive.

I have similar ones and they are great for that not super bright but more than adequate. I love this design as they take both the included rechargeables and standard alkaline. Think I have seen them cheaper and it is kind of generic design that other brands slap their name on. Mine are Evereadys and look almost the same. Can find China brand on Amazon and other places as well that are basically the same but do make sure to look for models that have the dual battery option some just take standard alkaline and look the same. I think Walmart sells the same under Ozark Trail label. Have seen packs of two to four depending on who sells them,

I have six in bag and we grab them when the power goes out or doing things like you describe and they are easy, convenient and light. Flashlight mode is great as well and light can be dimmed by closing them down a bit when in latern mode. Idea for roadside with the red flashing mode.

I'm gushing as I like them so much and have never spoken so highly about my wife or kids. I hope I have opportunity to ask her to care for them when I am gone.

I have these and love them, just bought more.

The magnets are very strong (holds horizontally on front door of frig with no problem), and the lights work great in a power outage.

The only negative is if you drop it the red plastic is likely to break, the edge of it sticks out about a quarter of an inch so that makes it the most fragile part. The good news is it still works and with some judicious use of packaging tape it's still fully functional.

I have the previous version as well (its silver not black) which does not include the USB charging, both work great but the original was discontinued and based on the price it looks like this one is being discontinued as well.

Perfect for home repairs, power outages, and to keep in your car. (A lot brighter than the interior light when you're hunting for something in the dark)

I've almost talked myself into buying more!
