8gb is not great sure.
But this is one of the smallest dual fan cards you can find, which makes it useful for SFF builders. IF you have the money go for the 16 gb one though.

Yeah, not 16GB, but 8GB XT over 8GB non-XT (oem-only, and specs cut further).

I missed out on it last time, going to snag this to upgrade my 1060 6g I am still using just fine and look for an upgrade for my 2600x next (would like a 5600, but a 5500 would be an improvement for me).

At the standard $50 difference between MSRP, there's no question that you should go for the 16GB version. For many people on a tight budget a $100 savings makes this a lot more attractive.
