There's also a few fails in the design (no key hook or anchor link, really?!). I keep carrying it because it fits most my travel needs better than anything else I have, but I'm still searching for the perfect travel-adventure pack.

I use the REI ruckpack 30 and 40, and the 40 is just a little over 2lb. Stopped using my Farpoint in favor of it as well.

Initially I found the straps chafed. This went away pretty quickly. Yes, the straps are not nearly as comfortable as something like a Osprey Farpoint, but you do get used to them. I almost never use the waist straps. It's also super easy and fast to tuck the straps away.
Love all the organization and all the grab handles on the bag, especially the one that goes against your back. Makes it super easy to pick up and shuffle around when it's laying down.
