I washed it in a bowl by hand. I used a small amount of detergent and let it sit in the bowl with water and detergent for about an hour. Then I rinsed it off with cold water and let it sit on a towel to dry. It smelled amazing after.

I bought 3 two weeks ago; they are excellent. No issues with stains and the smell disappears after a week of use/ being out. The smell didn't bother us but I know it is mentioned in the comments so wanted to provide our perspective. Cheers

Great mask! Very comfortable. I don't get the complaints about stains on sheets or weird smells. I think those are urban legends.
