Which puts this at right about normal for these type power stations.

Grok says : The average efficiency of portable power stations typically ranges from 80% to 85%, depending on the model and battery type. Factors such as energy conversion losses, inverter efficiency, and battery chemistry (e.g., lithium-ion or LiFePO4) can affect this range.

Thoughts on this vs mega 5? It's $150 more but all in one for similar capacity.

Any nerd have the correct answer whether this is on par or considerably worse than the current HD ecoflow pro deal?

Read the reviews on the DIY Solar Forum. I did. This is not in my cart anymore.

I have mega 3 and it's already large. I fear mega 5 will be a bitch to haul around.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank francois

I have mega 3 and b2 purchased separately on ebay.
The battery comes with the special cable to connect to the mega 3.
Mega 3 is big and has wheels and handles. B2 has two handles to carry.
B2 can be put on top. When connected, with their app, you can see the charge status of both.
It charges from 120 V at full speed (like 15 A) or half speed so it fills up in under 2 hours i think.
When charging from panels, if you plan to charge both, connect the panels through anderson plug to the B2. When it is full, the mega 3 will receive the electricity and charge. If you plug the panels to the mega 3, when full it will not to charge the b2.
I have contacted their tech support a couple of times with thechncial questions and they answer within a day with a complete answer.
When connecting panels, it likes a higher voltage (compared to other batteries that don't want more than 30v) so it's ok to put up to six 240W panels in series. Just make sure no panel is shaded. so no need to think i can use 1, 2 or 4 or 6 but not 3 or 5 panels. (as you would if you were connecting panels in parallel)
TL;DR: the tech seems good. Tech support is responsive. price is competitve.

Hmm that's true. I think I saw the mega 5 is like 100 lbs but it does have wheels. Hmm

And if you have two locations, you can have two mega 3 and a b2 and move the b2 for extra capacity when you need it.
The Mega 5 is the only one that takes the b5. The b2 also works on smaller mega 1 and 2 as well as titan 3.
If you need more you can use multiple b2 in series.

Looks like a great deal and some YouTube videos called out the benefit of separate solar input on the expansion B2 batteries which is nice. I've been shopping for a backup with something in this range for a while and finally pulled the trigger, thanks op.

What deal does HD have? I see the Delta Pro, but that uses older battery technology. I think the Oupes has the extra battery which is pretty cool. Oupes just doesn't have the same brand recognition which is making me have a hard time pulling the trigger.

No 240v output option. There have been better deals that has ability to do 240v.
