I have had one of their mini PCs for a few years now and it has been great. Anyone have experience with this monitor? It's tempting if it can be a quality upgrade from my Lenovo M14T touchscreen monitor I use for Samsung DeX

I feel like I'm running in circles looking for a portable monitor with these specs:1) a battery (a MUST)2) QHD resolution or betterBest I've found is the ViewSonic VG1656N (16" IPS LCD 120OP). It also has side benefit of a wireless display dongle. But it's technically FHD+ instead of QHD. It's also between $300-$400.I've seen 1 monitor that has a battery + 4K, but feel like battery drain would be crazy, 4K is way too high for 16" or smaller screens, and price would jump up too much.
Would it really be the craziest thing to just... make one? Or at worst make an attachable battery pack? The resources available make it pretty doable.

They have extremely thin battery packs available . here's one for examplehttps://a.co/d/6hUcrHa the advantage is the internal battery pack could eventually fail, so this prevents any repairs or failures along the way!

I'll second the message of using an external battery pack. I have one setup with magnets for my Lenovo M14T touchscreen monitor and it holds very strong. I'm considering picking up this monitor and getting a flatter battery pack and using magsafe magnets to stick it on the back so I can make it more of a tablet-like experience when I'm using Samsung Dex. I can do this with the Lenovo as well but this screen size and resolution is an upgrade compared to the Lenovo.

Note: Refurbished units exclude the stand.

I'll pass because of this since I'll have to find a way to protect the screen and to prop it up.

It's so hard to find a GOOD quality 16:10 15-18" portable USB-C monitor that's 2560x1600 resolution. Everything I've found is cheap overseas junk that people complain about falling apart after a few months of light use.

The "stand" is built into the cover attached to the back of the monitor

Doesn't Amazon have lots of portable monitors this size for around $60 brand new? Even with the higher resolution (which Amazon has, too), why would you buy this refurbished rather than something comparable from Amazon brand new?

reading the reviews, stuck pixels are an issue. touch screen is in portrait mode. Without a stand, seems difficult to do.

If the battery dies in your portable monitor in a few years, good luck removing it. If your portable monitor with a battery bank dies, just unplug the battery bank, throw away the battery bank and buy a new battery bank.

You are absolutely right that Amazon has a lot of portable monitors for cheaper. However not necessarily a lot of monitors that are touchscreen, at this resolution, and this size, with a reputable brand name attached. I went ahead and gave this monitor a shot. I've had others on my Amazon watch list over the last year or so but any of them at this size and also touchscreen were only 1080p. Hopefully it works out.
