Just call and make reservations for a wheelchair for him. My wife used to do that for her mom. She never had to walk far.
I always see the airline employees with wheelchairs waiting for passengers.

Didn't know that, but I would probably tip anyway. They deserve it. I have no problem walking airports, but am collecting social security so who knows when it will be my turn.
