What size is the sample? Would it be enough to paint a main door?
I used one to paint the exterior of my front door a few years ago. I went from dark green to dark red, and it covered well. I don't think one would cover both sides. If you need both sides painted, you could always have another person pick up a second sample for you.
Thanks, gonna bring in a paint sample of my wall so I can touch up when needed!
I need to touch up a couple parts of my wall that I had to patch. What's the best way to cut out a piece of the wall so that I can ask Lowe's to color match it? I'm not sure if a razor blade would do it. I don't want to punch a hole with a saw. Just somehow flake off the wall from a closet that no one sees.

Assuming standard drywall, yes a razor is ideal. Just cut deep enough to peel off the paper facing, at least 1" x 1" for most color scanners. Do it behind a door if possible since touch ups are usually still visible. Just spackle over the hole then paint.
I've had my house for 15 years and painted a ton of interior rooms in my day.
I have had poor results with Valspar. Colors are fine but "one coat" paint with primer mixed in needed 3 coats. Paint came off when scrubbing a stain off the wall using a wet paper towel months after the paint was applied.
I use Glidden pretty exclusively now, my brother who did professional interior/exterior painting for years swears by Sherwin Williams.
If you need a primer, especially after construction or remodel, use Kilz.

Thanks, I'll do that in a closet area that almost no one sees. I just didn't know if I'd need to punch out the entire drywall with a saw or if there's a way to peel off the paint layer. A YouTube video comment I read mentioned about damping the wall first with a damp towel, so I'll try that.
I went to my local Lowe's and picked up a sample. They said they only had samples of paint, and did not offer Valspar stains. I was trying to stain the top of this drawer that was water damage near the sink on my RV.

This sight didn't used to be that way. The freebie section was the busiest part back when it started.
