I did put that in the OP. Based on the one I have and the comments from the last deal, I don't think there is any difference performance-wise. I don't have the "non PVT" one to compare it to, but it's seems to be performing as it should.

I bought one of these the last time it was posted. Mine has been appearing to perform well. I'm not a professional tester or anything, so I can't comment on the true efficiency of it but it has dried a lot of rolls so far and has worked solidly. I am happy I bought it.

That is for drying the filament before printing. You need to buy 2d printer separately, some printers like BambuLab has AMS 2 which includes dryer.

Not everyone knows what "PVT" means or would know to look for that.

I bought one of these on the last deal and have dried dozens of filaments. I think it works very well. It may need a firmware update but I haven't gone to the trouble of doing that yet. I did accidentally dry PLA at the PETG temp because I set it for PLA and then I guess I needed to press the action button to have it adjust temp for filament type.

The firmware update mentioned in the manual is from April or May. Mine was up to date last month when I got it. It's been working great for me! Definitely a requirement with 3D printing.
