My wife purchased a set of 2 Sonicares from costco for, I think, 79.99. What features does this not have that others have? I feel like these electric toothbrushes are a rip-off. Tell me if I'm wrong

Phillips quality has gone down over the years. They use to last for years but now mine only last like a year! Like you I bought the same combo from Costco and now mine is making a lot of noise. You aren't wrong when you say they are a ripoff but that's what large businesses do right? If mine breaks again I'm going to replace it with the Chinese knockoff on Amazon. people have mentioned that it lasted them 5+ Years. It's called the Sonic Electric Toothbrush on Amazon.

This one does not have the brush change sensor and does not appear to have the dual speed button.
I have the Costco ones as well and never use the low speed (unless accidentally pressed) and can see if it needs a new head so those features are kind of pointless for me.
This is like their base model of the sonicare technology. It's $19.96 on their website. It's still a very good toothbrush, it just lacks some features like 3 modes and pressure sensor on the more expensive models. These are way better than manual brushing for sure.

1100 does have pressure sensor, but the issue I have is the rubber button just flakes off after 8 months and is just metal. I have had to use the warranty 2 times, which they do honor and send a new one out... but i'm out of warranty this time, and will have to get a new one. I do agree, they are not what they used to be.
