Good deal, thanks! Hoping the holiday specials get released to Fandango/Movies Anywhere at some point. I think Apple has the rights currently.

I read that and was like, "But they ARE available on Fandango. I have them!" and then I looked and saw that the rights to sell them now had been taken away. (My previously purchased copies are in my library still.) Surely when the Apple deal expires they'll end back up there.

The Apple exclusivity has been the worst deal of an IP. Apple won't even let you purchase the holiday specials. You have to subscribe. I have Charlie Brown's Christmas in my MA but not Halloween or Thanksgiving.

Fark, anybody know how long this exclusivity will be for? I was waiting for this collection to get down to $15 (preferably $10) before upgrading my HDX to UHD. Now it will be who knows how long!

It's complete BS. And the way they're treating them. You can't even buy them individually. You HAVE to subscribe to Apple TV. And they took them off TV. A beloved tradition for generations stolen. Thanks Apple!

In this particular case, Santa should give everyone a Plex server full of holiday specials that aren't attainable.

Fine print: At least the ones who have old VHS copies

I'm confused. Do I need to subscribe to Apple TV+ even if I purchase this movie deal?

No. We're talking about the classic holiday shows. Great pumpkin, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Apple threw them in Apple TV jail. Don't even have the option to purchase them for any price. It's despicable. Complete antithesis to the Christmas special.
