Namely, that there are few better ways to get a large form factor device for running Android apps than a ChromeOS device. Perhaps not completely in the case of this laptop, because the screen resolution and lack of touchscreen will make some experiences less than ideal. But in general, the support for Android tablets has been historically terrible whereas the commitment for this cheapo $109 laptop is updates for 6 years inclusive of integrated support for Android.
Good luck!

Price is higher, but so are the specs. Updates are supported till 2035.
Also, if you enable Android and/or Linux (which easily consume 1GB), or want something more future proof, get 8GB RAM period.
With that said, in 2021, a relative wanted a cheap, safe, occasional-use (few times a week) PC exclusively for banking websites (they do a lot of other things on their main Windows laptop, clicked on a few fake emails, got a few full screen fake "tech support" pop-ups and got worried). Got them a cheap Acer 12" N4020/4GB/32GB Chromebook which is the perfect solution (AUE was 2027 that got extended to 2029 but it'd be too slow long before that). They now use it for a few other things too but it is still safer than Windows.

Who cares. It's less than $150 and if you get 5 years usage out of it, that's a slick deal. I don't think it's bad for regular homework for kids and basic browsing
