I like these, would recommend. Price is only a few bucks lower than can be found other places. Worth buying if you don't have but have taps.

Do these work better than the adjustable "tap socket" adaptors that adjust simliar to a chuck, and have the 3/8" square adaptors?

People that do a lot of DIY tapping, any reason to pick these up vs having a few sets of the adjustable ones already? Any specific use case these work better?

I use them at work for fabrication tasks while building towmotors. I have a pair of adjustable ones also. I like these ones for the simple fact that they are ready to use immediately versus needing to find the needed tap and inserting then tightening them down. Other benefit to using this style is for clearance of materials and surrounding areas. The adjustable ones are very bulky. I paid $26.99 for my set is 2021 for reference also.
