Do these work better than the adjustable "tap socket" adaptors that adjust simliar to a chuck, and have the 3/8" square adaptors?
People that do a lot of DIY tapping, any reason to pick these up vs having a few sets of the adjustable ones already? Any specific use case these work better?

I use them at work for fabrication tasks while building towmotors. I have a pair of adjustable ones also. I like these ones for the simple fact that they are ready to use immediately versus needing to find the needed tap and inserting then tightening them down. Other benefit to using this style is for clearance of materials and surrounding areas. The adjustable ones are very bulky. I paid $26.99 for my set is 2021 for reference also.
Looks like it's Made in USA, as well. I do see some slightly less expensive sets, but this being a Lisle and being Made in USA would make it easily worth the few extra dollars.
The top reviews are all obviously so fake. I'm not trying to say the tool isn't good- just look at the words and the names of the reviewers. These aren't mechanics. 9/10 of them are single female names- " "Brenda" "faith" "Yolanda"
I don't remember what I paid probably 15 years ago, but I've had this set for about that long. I'd pay more than this and it would still be a good deal.

Alright folks, I use these at work and they genuinely are a fantastic product. I don't remember what I paid for mine, but they are easily worth twice what they are on sale for now. Made in USA, sized to fit specific common taps, and I quickly drop my tap in there and the internal o-ring holds it in place. I typically will use a power tool to run my taps with these and yes, they are better than the adjustable ones. They don't come loose like every adjustable one seems to.
Look at the pictures people, those are a good representation of these sockets. They suck. The fake worded reviews are obvious! And no, not because 99.9 are women....they're just obvious!
What cracks me up is you spend almost $500 on an Irwin tap and die set and then the tools they give you included in the set suck azz. So, you get these to solve one problem of the poor included tools.

That's probably the worst take I have ever seen on Slickdeals. These are an absolute life saver and can get in places nothing else can. I used to use them all the time when I was still an auto technician. They're worth their weight in gold.
