there is no way these are comfortable for long periods or for larger ears. I find the design fascinating, especially the clear grey looking like an early iMac accessory. Maybe frutiger aero isn't dead after all

Don't knock it until you try it. At first, I was also skeptical of this design. Though the transparency feature works well on typical "closed" in-ear earbuds, I was in search of "open" wireless earbuds that didn't completely cover my ear canal so I can remain fully aware of my surroundings. I tried several different models (didn't try this one in the deal) and stuck with the Soundcore AeroClip. Not only was the audio quality really good for this type of product (still won't beat a good in-ear bud), but the comfort... Both my wife and I found them very comfortable and would often forget we have them on.
I can't provide any actual feedback on the Soundcore C40i itself, but this style of earbud is not something to be dismissed especially if you're looking for a more "open" earbud design.

The trick to these is they're really light and they don't really clip, it's more like you stretch the band to get it over the ear and then the size of the two halves makes it not fall out - but they're so light you can barely feel them. At least in the other one of this style I tried.

I have the c30i and it's been really good. The only con is that the control is in the back of the ear and their not accurate. Other than that I really liked it.
