Hey all,

I currently have a HELOC with Huntington National, I was looking into my credit union and they're offering an introductory rate of 5.99 for 12 months for a HELOC. I was wondering if it's worth me refinancing my current HELOC to help pay down the amount owed.

Any thoughts on HELOC refinancing?

I know this is an old post, but for future readers, it depends on your current rate and any fees you'll get charged for refinancing and ending the old account. You'll also have to talk to the credit union about the process for replacing the old loan, as they will not want two HELOCs on one home.

It also depends on how much you have out, there are credit cards offering 0% for 12-18 months for a 3-5% fee if you have good credit.
