The words "fresh" and "canned" together is diabolical. (Yes, I know fresh is the name of the service)

"Can anyone who's bought before give a review on carrot quality?"
"Would this work for a family of 4?"
"I bought these the last time they were on sale and they didn't last past dinner." 🤣🤣🤣

I'm not sure what you mean? One can for a family of four? That's not realistic. Quality from store brand to store brand is similar because the same farm likely sells to multiple retailers. I prefer Del Monte but at this price, I'm happy.

Cans last a lot longer and many of us do not choose one or the other. For soup, salad or a side dish when there's time to prep, I'll always choose fresh. However, I also try to have canned or frozen veggies on hand as well. Sometimes you can't get to the store and other times canned vegetables saves me from grabbing an unhealthy snack.

I'll try it when making lentil or chicken soup.

One note about canned vegetables: They generally contain a considerable amount sodium, even when drained, unless you specifically buy no-salt-added versions. Frozen vegetables are better in that aspect, but I also get that it's not an option for everyone. Just wanted to post an FYI in case any reader didn't know that!

FYI - Most canned veggies have a "No Salt Added" option in larger markets.

I hate what Americans do to food. It's disgusting, but anything goes for the almighty dollar.
