I love how much this company is disrupting the entire game controller market, which has been straight up extortion for years.

The fact that sony and MS haven't been using hall effect sticks for years at this point and this 18 dollar controller has them speaks VOLUMES to how hard they have been screwing us.

8bitdo started out kinda bumpy tbh but all their newer products are so good, they are fillling like every empty niche on the market, and I absolutely am happy for them and will support them as long as they keep putting out quality products for prices that most people would skip over just because they have PTSD from their older siblings making them use the MAD KATZ controllers when they were kids.

This is different... these are good controllers and they have better joysticks than what microsoft gives you with the xbox (or sony gives you with the ps5)

I believe this is the lowest we've ever seen it? The previous lowest price on SD was $20.79 on July 8th and that got a +12 score.

These 8Bitdo controllers are so good and so cheap, it's a shame they don't work on Xbox wirelessly. Will this work wired?

Yep, it works wired on Windows without any extra setup. For the price you're getting Hall Effect sticks, extra bumpers, and solid build quality.

Yeah but no direct support for the extra bumpers in DirectX mode. It's kind of a wash... fun to press but not really useful (yet). Maybe future driver updates will support it. But that's the only con... extra buttons. This frickin controller is the best. I've been using it for three months on Rocket League without any noticeable degradation in response. Can't say that about any Xbox controller I've owned.

You cannot. My wired ones do not work, so I assume the wireless version (even in wired mode) won't work either.
