Need to retrieve Windows 11 key, wipe hard disk, delete recovery partition and reinstall Windows directly from Microsoft
's image via USB to asure a clean install without Spyware. Also need to download and update disk drivers and change DNS to your ISP. Applies to both N97 and N150.

Windows activation key is bundled with the motherboard....since almost 10 years ago....just reinstall with the os image from Microsoft , connect to interest and it will be automatically activated....

Brought N97 version and canceled N150. Faster processor is worth $7 more! plus one day delivery now as opposed to 4 weeks for N150. Great find. Thanks

Vista not a great name for a Windows box, lol. I'd be all over this if it had USB-C and dual HDMI, as I got a different brand one with same specs for same price but with those things too.

Depends on what you want. The N150 is half the TDP has a much lower base clock speed and is only about 7% lower max performance using passmark scores and has the same boost clock.

For something that is going to sit idling most of the time I would go with the N150

Barely better, but probably not noticeable. But the N97 does use twice the power (~12W vs 6W)

I BELIEVE the taller profile is due to the active cooling (fan and exhaust) design, but could be wrong.
