Mac Mini is slightly better with cooling fan if you need to handle heavy loads for long time with more ports.

Will these thing fall to 750? Adorama was selling it for a small amount of time through Walmart for 750 so financially it seems it is possible for sellers to do so.

Not the person you asked but I have the newest base model Mac Mini and am very pleased. Silent, very fast, running 2 monitors. I added an external NVME enclosure for more HD space

Also not a BB fan, but by your same argument, Amazon likely provides more local jobs with all the warehouses across the US. I'd buy it from Costco for the return period and warranty they offer for members.
