From what I've read, this point seems to be user dependent (ex: I saw a Reddit post noting it missed the mark for the sleep stages).
The underlying theme I'm seeing in video reviews was resoundingly "for ~$100, you're getting slew of decent features that should hopefully improve w software updates"
I pulled the trigger and ordered one - for $85 I'll play around with it. No screen will maybe even help me do some digital detox w my current smart watch (Garmin Instinct 2)
