I'm a big fan of the small set, I keep one in my work bag and I use it damn near every day. Between work stuff, furniture assembly, working on a bike, car stereo installation this set has proved it's value.

Bought this new one today. The new ratchet design is disappointing, and they don't have as many Allen bits as the old set. Not a replacement for the old one, but a nice supplement and it all feels like what you'd expect from an Icon socket.

I love the original, and this one is good but disappointing. They made wrong design choices in my opinion: They made it socket first, so the hatchet does not allow to make it a T handle, the grip handle is near useless, can't be attached to the ratchet and if you want use bits you need a socket to hex adapter. Also, not all items not very well secured and it rattles a bit. So.. Meh. There are good alternatives with good prices, like from Dewalt.

I'm a big fan of the small set, I keep one in my work bag and I use it damn near every day. Between work stuff, furniture assembly, working on a bike, car stereo installation this set has proved it's value.

There's no sockets with 1.0. They're very different.

Yes, agree on the ratchet; and is a common complaint. Probable reason they wont reuse the ratchet from 1.0 is that it would yield less sales on that kit.

I kind of want it but the sd members say it doesn't convert into a t handle. I really love the t handle from the smaller set. Still a pretty hot deal I think.

This set has both sae and metric. I think its only missing the 5/32 socket from the individual sets.

I think the set your thinking is the simpler one ICON Locking Flex-Head Ratchet and Bit Set, 35-Piece this one is similar just with more. I got the simple one and will probably get this one as well.

The sockets make it a useful tool for my own needs much more than the original tool. I wish it just had metric and was smaller. I could also skip most of the bits. Give me a common automotive fastener kit 6-14 metric.

I have the 1.0 and it's used weekly in my house. it's super handy to have around the house. also makes a nice bike tool.
