Meme Tool 1.0 (OG) - pass through head on the ratchet (Not currently on sale)
https://www.harborfreight.com/loc...58074.html

Meme Tool 2.0 (The current one on sale in store)
https://www.harborfreight.com/14-...70695.html

Don't know which one everyone loves but I'm guessing 1.0 because 2.0 is relatively new.

I'm a big fan of the small set, I keep one in my work bag and I use it damn near every day. Between work stuff, furniture assembly, working on a bike, car stereo installation this set has proved it's value.

Bought this new one today. The new ratchet design is disappointing, and they don't have as many Allen bits as the old set. Not a replacement for the old one, but a nice supplement and it all feels like what you'd expect from an Icon socket.

I love the original, and this one is good but disappointing. They made wrong design choices in my opinion: They made it socket first, so the hatchet does not allow to make it a T handle, the grip handle is near useless, can't be attached to the ratchet and if you want use bits you need a socket to hex adapter. Also, not all items not very well secured and it rattles a bit. So.. Meh. There are good alternatives with good prices, like from Dewalt.

The new one isn't that amazing in my opinion. It's an ok deal at this price but definitely a bad deal at MSRP

this guy had a good idea to combine both icon sets plus a wera ratchet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9V4Hmb5DU0
the has some good ideas. but the wera ratchet cost more than this set... worth the watch.

This is not a good deal.
Exactly, this is just like any other 1/4 drive socket set. The mini ratchet no longer has pass through head. Even at reduced in-store price at $47, its' not a good deal.

i thought this was a joke tool with the tiny ratchet but i just used it to remove the 8mm bolts on my cars brake cylinder. i normally had to use a wrench but this ratchet was small enough to get in there. i really like that you can attach the extension to the ratchet to get more leverage, ive never seen that on other tiny ratchets.

Same, I unexpectedly used it within 48 hours. I had to take off the intake manifold of a Durango and my other sockets were all too big for the grooved space the manifold has for the 8mm bolts. I even used the handle extension and it worked well.

I own the smaller set and it comes in super handy. Great to keep in the car. Sockets make this even more useful.

no pass thru on the ratchet or the handle seems like a big oversight.

Dude it really is. Huge mistake on their part. Everyone's gonna lose the bit holders. Also lol spinner handle.

Is the head on this on able to turn the socket? If yes that would explain the no passthrough.like a finger ratchet

Correct, and you can buy a set of sockets separately to include with it. Makita makes nice, affordable sets in metric and standard. Harbor Freight probably does as well.

Correction, *no everyone loves the features and functionality of the smaller set that is linked by someone else for $40. Both sets (the newer/larger and older/smaller should be 40% off during the parking lot sale which will start Friday for me since I don't have the member rewards. Already own two of the smaller set that easily fits in your pocket and plan to upgrade one of my sets into the larger as described here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9V4Hmb5DU0 by thanks to CleverGuitar952 posting in comments.

Smaller memetool set isn't included in 40% sale because it's not a socket set.

Ended up return this for the other type 1 edition meme tool, cause the no pass through ratchet & no low profile was deal breaker for me. Also that case is a big fatty. Plus that red handle socket driver in middle of case is stupid. Nobody use dat 💩
