If it's used as it's intended, it doesn't overheat. I ride mountain bike trails with the GoPro mounted on my chest. It's recording at its max resolution for hours (multiple batteries back to back) in the middle of Georgia summers. Never had the camera overheat.

Didn't know the was a thing for gopros. But wouldn't the defeat the maneuverability and the small size of the camera?
