The issue is that Woot is not an LG Authorized dealer, i don't feel confident buying from an unauthorized dealer.

That is correct, the are not authorized but they do have a 90-day warranty. Purchasing from an authorized retailer may be more expensive, or you can choose to go through an LG Partner store.
