A few pruners it's always the spring or some type of expansion mechanism that fails first (not auto open).

Fiskars has a lifetime warranty.
Their products do fail often.
Have to be very persistent to make warranty claims
These European companies always trying to pull a fast one on us busy Southern folks.
Product is very good and tough when it works

did not perform well in testing. If you do a lot of pruning buy a better pair. The ease of repeated cuts and the ability to cut thicker materials will make it pay for itself. If you don't do much pruning or just want a cheap pair, then these may work for you. You don't have to get the $70 falco's to get good bypass pruners according to this test video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEYpZfMVNIY
