Good laptop ad a great price. Glossy screen sucks in any type of light though.

16gb ram is a dealbreaker for me. Virtual ram is not good as a physical one maybe while they're building it they cut the coast a little and they think if people need they can use virtual memory, but it's not the case.

Respectively…Virtual memory is typically created on the motherboard using physical memory or a SSD. Quite honestly 16 GB should be fine for most. I have it in laptop with 16 and one with 32 its mostly transparent. I usually put 32 GB in old or cheap PCs/laptop to increase the virtual memory (via the BIOS if it supports it) and help out the crappy CPU. Memory for older laptops and desktops is cheap… well until the tariffs kick in. Additionally you can do it in the OS via expanding the page file. Based on your response I think you may be confused on what virtual memory is and how it actually works. Now if you are trying to run an AI model (if doing AI modeling you better have decent video card too), doing CAD or a very serious gammer…well that more of a reason to have 32 GB but most folks don't fall into that category. Just for a reference point i was a system (OEM) builder and designer for 22 years with a major manufacture. I have overseen 1000's of pc and laptop builds and have built idk at least 200 PCs and a few laptops personally.One last point memory modules are typically soldered in (in most cases at least thats why we did it) to save space on the laptop because when you add a memory riser it increases the width of the enclosure so its not ment to fark the consumer rather to deliver a thinner laptop.So there is the truth beyond that fallacy. Okay this is the last point. In the industry laptops are Not ment to be upgraded beyond the Hard drive. The ONLY reason folks have been able to upgrade memory and second hard drive in the past 10 years is because manufactures in the early days would produce several models using the same motherboard. So if you bought the base model it had the same board as the high end model so you could upgrade it to the high end model. Those days are over LAPTOPS today are produced with the motherboard specific to that model. Desktops are designed to be upgraded laptops are not with the exception of the hard drive. I hope this gave you some prospective in the industry rather than making uninformed comments. I am not trying to be harsh…but i have been in industry…well for a long time maybe before you were born.
