Seems like a great deal. I just wish the RAM was upgradable or 32GB.

Where do you see it cannot be upgraded? Not saying it's untrue but I have seen it both ways for the vivid book, more common to have 1 soldered and 1 SODIMM that can be upgraded

Yep I see it now. Can still be done at a shop but will void the warranty. That's sad, but still a good deal overall

This thread: What Ram to buy for Asus vivobook S 15.6 S5506

Can someone plz tell me the best ram to buy for this laptop? https://www.walmart.com/ip/ASUS-V...b59a79c7f5

Then on Kingstons's site, it doesn't sound promising. If it is upgradable, that'd be awesome.

You sure about that? Can't see an Ultra 7 being that price, let alone OLED as well

Nothing against the OP at all - good find; but I am going to downvote this to highlight the hypocrisy of this platform because not only was this exact deal cheaper before, but it was heavily downvoted when I posted it just a few months ago: https://slickdeals.net/f/18215479-asus-vivobook-s-15-cert-refurb-15-6-3k-oled-120hz-intel-ultra-7-155h-16gb-lpddr5-1tb-ssd-559-99?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arecent%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse

i think it was downvoted because of walmart selling it for around that price during that time, but now, walmart no longer sells this at 600, so i think this is a good deal

The difference, though, is Walmart was selling a brand new product for the same price as this refurb. This refurb should be cheaper by some amount, not the same price.

FWIW, I could not find where Walmart themselves sell it...only marketplace sellers at inflated prices. It's a good laptop, but there are current model laptops with OLED with similar specs on great deals now and then...just keep an eye out to get something modern.
