beware, the pack of these I purchased recently have shorter positive terminals than past purchases or other brands. In some of my devices they are too short to properly make contact.

Are these still the garbage made in china batteries? I really miss the Japanese ones, which were way better.

I haven't had horrible luck with the AAs but I've only bought one set - a year ago. I've bought several sets of the AAAs over the years and there has been a steady decline in quality over the years which suddenly was much more pronounced with my last purchase this past spring. I got a set of 24 which I think are rated at 800mAh. I cycle/test/refresh my batteries when I get them and found that none would charge more than 750mAh capacity. In all fairness, after a few cycles of charge, use, recharge, the capacities have risen to the 850mAh to 950mAh BUT โ†’โ†’ they drain really quickly. They drained quickly out of the box. I have a set I bought last summer that doesn't charge to quite the same capacity but they last much longer in the same applications. Presuming these AAs are coming out of the same factory(ies) as the AAAs, I'd recommend staying away.

PS last SD had them at 75ยข and these are $1.00 each. I may be comparing the standard and high capacity varieties.
