I have this laptop, very decent for the price. My 2 bigs cons are: TN panel, really hard to use it outdoor, if you are going to sit outside you're not gonna see anything on the screen, and colors are very poor. My second cons is, I try to reinstall windows 11 because I always like fresh install, and it didn't recognize my drive, I have to change it to legacy on BIOS, but no matter what I did, I could never turn it back on, so drive speed is slow. I try to download drivers from Lenovo but it never recognize my drive. If I turn it on win 11 goes to BSOD and never boot up. So a lot of headache for something shouldn't be IMO. Anyway if that doesn't affect you just put one more RAM stick, 16GB minimum recommended IMO, so you will have 24GB total. it's DDR4 so is cheap.

Is 24GB enough for streaming tv shows and how much is good price for 16GB DDR4?

Asus vivobook has trash disk (locked inside). Forget about resetting or installling new windows, you need some type of key # which you have to go online to get it. No body knows even it exists. And even if you have a boot drive to fix it, pc does not reconise disk once original OS (corrpted) has been erased. Asus's bios knows disk is thete but it's gray out. Other PC reconised it and able to install new windows but Asus still does not reconise it. Refotmatting, deleting, and or wiping out completely, nothing worked. I think i need to get a new disk.

It's great to see that there are still good deals on laptops these days. Was afraid prices would go up sooner than later. The specs look good and am debating between this and the Acer for $200 on woot. It had a weaker cpu (N355 vs this 1315u) and poorer build quality, but it has a IPS display and USB C charging.

Where is that?? I much prefer USB-C charging and an IPS screen over a better processor.

That's why now, everytime I buy a new laptop I do a fresh windows reinstall, if i get too much trouble I return it, I don't like to deal with issues like that in the future.

should be, but you should get a 32GB stick, they are cheap AF. Last time I checked for 16GB DDR4 was under $25. I got one used on Facebook Marketplace for $15. super cheap.
