The 9100 Pro is Gen 5, and while day-to-day usage isn't going to be terribly faster, it does result in quicker loading times for me in some games when tested back to back against my Gen 4 990 Pro. Also worth noting that, even with the stock heatsink on my Aorus Pro motherboard, I'm not getting any overheating with the Gen 5 drive like others have mentioned.
