As BOGO said, B&H has this for $25 less right now. Also note that the 9100 Pro was $299 for 4tb just a few weeks ago during Prime Week. If you're not in a terrible rush, these prices are bound to fall again with time + around Black Friday.

The 9100 Pro is Gen 5, and while day-to-day usage isn't going to be terribly faster, it does result in quicker loading times for me in some games when tested back to back against my Gen 4 990 Pro. Also worth noting that, even with the stock heatsink on my Aorus Pro motherboard, I'm not getting any overheating with the Gen 5 drive like others have mentioned.

correct - B&H $249 is non-heatsink.

both this Amazon link and the B&H link have the option to select heatsink, and both stores are $279 for heatsink version

When will Apple match these kind of prices with their ssd? I can't imagine that the Apple SSD are worth 7X as much for the same capacity.

Yes, but heatsinks are cheap and you don't need anything too fancy. This two-pack of wrap-around heatsinks is $11.
