In case anyone is wondering, this is used as a milk substitute, it is not what you want for cooking with.

Yeah, coconut milk is a terrible name for this since there already is a totally different product with the same name.

Good price but based on the reviews it seems to be very watery.

Yeah, as nyospe above mentioned, this is made for drinking. Not for cooking.

Looks like they're offloading all the defected ones. Lol look at all the pictures. Looks rancid with hidden mold growing between the paper and the plastic that's holding the fluid, yummmm

Might be worth a try to mix protein powder with it

Haven't looked at this item for many many months but there's definitely something to those negative reviews. The problem is the packaging where the neck gets easily damaged during shipping because it's a lot of weight of liquid that often bangs on the little neck, even if it's not obvious. They could improve the shipping package but they haven't during a long time when I used to get this. And when the seal is broken that way even almost microscopically, it starts spoiling. You might think it's OK because it normally has a slippery gummy texture… until you get a wad of slime in your mouth! so gross! &Yes when the price is lower like this, they are getting rid of old stock! more likely damaged.

I like the idea of this drink but they don't seem to read their reviews and improve it. You can feel the added gum and you know they're only adding the gums to make it seem thicker and homogenize ingredients….and added gums are not harmless! More studies are showing that. there are certain processes& elements in your body that you do not want to similarly emulsify as gums do. if someone goes to their official website and gets the current ingredients and post it here I will tell you if the ingredients have changed or not.

So this is not regular coconut milk. And not coconut water either? Thanks.

No. This is a watered down extract of coconut meat, completely different from coconut water. It's made from coconut milk (the settled extract) and coconut cream (the skimmed nutfat from the extract) with water and a gum that acts as an emulsifier. I don't care for that gum, personally. Coconut water is a juice, of sorts, that forms inside of the coconut as it matures, and is usually harvested from unripe coconuts. Coconut milk (the stuff this "coconut milk" is made from) is made by blending ripe coconuts with their water, and pressing out the juices (including sugars and starches), fats, and proteins.
