You should add that it's 4th Gen. i just grabbed two of these on the last deal and they are absolute beasts for pcie 4 drives. As a gamer, I don't care about 5th gen as it halves the speed of my pcie x16 slot for my GPU down to an 8x.

It's about time quality 2TB drives return to this price level.

2TB SN850X and 980/990 Pros for some reason shot up to near $200 for about a year.

FOMO on better prices have me wondering if I should just order this before prices go back up again.

Nice current deal for a Gen 4 with DRAM vs similar Samsung 990's. For historical reference, this was 'marked down' to $180 in Dec, 2022. Mine is still perfect after 12,000 hours running and 36TB written.

This one does have DRAM if that is something your use case needs or you were concerned about.

Back in 2022 the 2TB version (with heatsink) was $180ish.

Oh. Gotcha. Well it has been much lower than that for a long time. Sorry, thought you were price comparing to the glory days of SSD pricing, which was 2023 now that I am thinking about it.

I got the 4tb version of this with heatsink for $250 a few Slickdeals ago.

I bought 2 of these for $109.99 each back in Q3 2023. $269.99 for the 4TB version in early 2024 as well. Prices got ignorant past that point for awhile for sure.

It's been just over 2yrs since I got my 2TB from WD on sale + PayPal cash back. It's crazy to think I paid like $80 after taxes and they've only got more expensive. 4TB should be this price by now.
