Stop buying single hose portable ACs. Actually, just stop buying portable ACs at all unless you absolutely cannot fit a window unit in your window. These things aren't even that portable, they're just as heavy as window units or heavier, they require just as much setup, they're less efficient, they don't cool as well, they often pump heat into the room they're in (or a lot if it's single hose), they're more expensive and unless you live in the desert or some areas of california, you're going to have to drain/install a condensate pump to empty these things constantly or risk mold, the unit shutting off, reduced efficiency or worse, suffer water damage from your house flooding (oh, you got one of these because your landlord said you can't have a window unit? you guys are gonna have a blast once they see all that water damage)
