do not buy if you value any sort of customer support should something go wrong. Pretty picture otherwise.

Do you mean on Panasonic's end or BuyDig? What problems did you deal with?I'm tempted to buy this. Fantastic price and I want a replacement for a 1080p set but I'm conflicted. I feel fine watching SDR 1080p and yeah, don't want to be stuck being the guy who upgrades just for the sake of upgrading.

now days even the cheapest televisions are feature rich. Certainly more than your 1080p television. You could buy a television for a quarter of this price and still get a better picture.

From past threads, I've read it's a nightmare getting this TV from certain retailers. Many being received cracked/damaged with little to no customer support. My question is, where is my best chance of getting the TV at a good price with a good chance of not being damaged? I really want this TV lol

both but after a month of fighting with buydig they refunded me the total amount of the 85 i purchased through them. Tv Repair company was told by panasonic they did not have a motherboard to replace my faulty one.

The picture was great and comparible to my hisense u8 and lg oled c3s.

Rtings..... Pass

Narrow viewing angle means the image is degraded

when viewed from the sides of the screen.

VRR and local dimming don't work simultaneously.

Poor handling of direct reflections.

Blacks aren't as deep as competing models.

The TV has sub-par gray uniformity. There's some noticeable dirty screen effect towards the center of the screen, the corners are darker than the center, and there are particularly bad splotches of uneven brightness on the right side of the screen. On a very dark or near-black screen, the corners and sides of the screen are lighter than the center.

Buydig was not cooperative when I had to refuse delivery of a 83 inch OLED TV due to improper handling concerns, and neither was Greentoe. Had to file a charge back with credit card company and wait 2-3 months for the process to conclude. OLEDs, especially large ones, require a 2 person delivery crew at minimum in order to be kept upright at all times, per manufacturer instructions. When I saw the $3k 83 inch OLED TV laying on it's side on a dolly, I didn't want to take the chance, as the panels are super fragile, more so than LED TVs.. and it would have been a disaster if I had permitted that lone delivery guy to attempt to get it upstairs to the room it was going - ridiculous. The initial credit card charge was from Greentoe - Greentoe forwarded my refund request to Buydig - Buydig was unresponsive - I won't be using either of them again for major purchases. Subsequently, I purchased an 83 inch OLED directly from LG, and a 3-person delivery crew completed the delivery without cutting corners or taking unnecessary risks.

I had a delivery nightmare like this just last month, but my order came straight from Samsung. They stood up an 85-inch, 100+lb television *on its end* after sliding it off the truck into the street. They then proceeded to rotate it on its end, and then brought it in the house. I knew it would be broken the minute I saw this, and thank god it was all captured on my security cameras. When it was unboxed and plugged in later that evening, sure enough, the LCD had internal cracks all over it. It took so many emails, chats, photos and videos to get things sorted. It then took Samsung a full month to ship another TV....and guess what? The delivery team did it AGAIN. However, somehow it didn't break the TV this time... Basically nobody does their job correctly anymore. / rant off

Burger flippers make $20/hour in CA. Perhaps companies still have difficulty finding good workers after Covid. I've seen horrible diagnostics at auto dealerships. A free OBDII code retrieval at Autozone has a better chance of providing the correct solution!

Hisense u7 or 2024 u8 on sale. I'm hoping the 2024 u8 goes back on sale for 900. I have a u8 and love it.
