Quick Tip: Save yourself a lot of time and hassle! Instead of calling costco t-mobile number, drive to nearby costco that has tmobile kiosk. I was on the call today for almost 1.5 hr just to get an upgrade on one of my lines. Every few mins the rep was like, while the screen loads the next page, I have an exciting offer for you ... Yada yada yada. Then after choosing phone and storage space, couple of rounds for different protection plans, then for accessories, .... Blah blah blah ... I think he marketed for all possible product line up that tmobile has!! I wonder if they use their own tmobile home internet there. Every page was loading so damn slow!!!
I was at local Costco store this afternoon. Two representatives stated the deal for free pixel 10 with trade in is not in their system yet. They also claimed the same line can only qualify for the Costco cash card once every 12 months.

I went to kiosk as well. They didn't want to do it. They had no idea. Went home and did over the phone in 10 mins...

you call Costco T-Mobile number. I ended up getting a $100 Costco card and they waived the activation fee.
What is the number you called? Your local Costco or a national number?

Can confirm, Costco is already offering a $100 gift card and waived activation fee if you call them their T-Mobile line.
What number is that?

Only eSim for all the Pixel 10 other than the Fold. Sucks for us travelers that like to grab physical Sim cards at the corner convenience store in many other countries.
I have the same thoughts as well but I've been using travel eSIM over the last couple of years and they've gotten so much more competitive and cheaper.Still some disadvantages like many of these options are data only eSIM but the convenience of having your travel eSIM ready to go from the moment you land and small cost difference helps bridge the gap.

hohow does airalo help here since it requires the phone to be unlocked? this is locked for 24 months
In the same, even having a physical SIM would not help travelers since it would be locked. However, T-Mobile does have temporary unlock for Android devices so one could still use travel eSIM during that temporary unlock period.

Will the phone still be locked if I do this deal? Travel often and need esim capability, would love if I can somehow still get this unlocked
You can do temporary unlock with Android devices, so I assume this would be in that category. You do get a limited number of temp unlocks per year, so not sure if that would fit your needs.

If you travel internationally, keep one thing in mind that T-Mobile won't unlock your phone and you can't use those cheap eSIM for data. You have to use T-Mobile's international plan for roaming.
Not entirely true. You can do temporary unlock with Android devices, so this should be in that category. If you're traveling for short periods like a vacation, you should be fine.

International travelers beware, you can only use tmo international plan which is expensive and sucks for the most part.
You do get temporary unlocks with Android so shouldn't be an issue for most people who go for a short vacation each year. But if anything longer, like studying overseas, then yeah, different story.

I'm assuming if I travel internationally I can't add a foreign eSim if the phone is locked to T-Mobile?

Yeah, I wish I had just driven to Costco. The phone call was a huge pain in the ass, but I was trying to not get home to the family any later than I already was. So I did the call on the way home from work.

Now I'm freaked out she didn't properly apply the promotion. I wish they would let you do it online. So much better when you can visually confirm things.

Tmo changed the payoff early policy. You will lose the remaining credit if you payoff.
