For anyone who did the Costco upgrade, if you look at your T-Mobile orders (https://www.t-mobile.com/orders/check-order) what does it say your estimated trade-in amount will be? I'm trading in a Pixel 8, but it only says $130 estimated trade in, not $799. I called back and asked about it and they said it's because the promo will take 1-2 cycles to reflect, but I wanted to double check if thats what others are seeing.
The value of the trade-in is different from the $800 promotional credit. You get $130 for the Pixel 8 and will receive the $800 - $130 = $670 balance of the promotional credit over time as bill credits.

per the deal details, any plan where you're paying 60+dollars monthly and you have Auto pay enabled.
Mint has an unlimited plan for $15 a month (12 month). So you are paying $45 extra per month for a comparable service. Over 24 months, the extra adds up to >$1,000. It's not a free phone.

So does Costco apply it differently than T-Mobile? I actually ordered it directly through T-Mobile first before seeing the Costco offer, and T-Mobile's order clearly stated under the trade in: "Promotional value confirmed $799.99 Recurring promotional credit paid out over 24 months".

After seeing Costco's offer, I called in and cancelled the T-Mobile order and replaced the order through Costco to get the waived $35 and $100 GC, but Costco's order makes no mention of the promo and only says under $130 trade-in, which made me question if it was put through correctly.

What price is the Pixel 10 Tmobile is charging? Trying to decide doing this couple of times, one for $800 and one for $400. How much would the balance be at $400 trade-in?

My question as well. My Costco order is like yours, my order from last year also specified that I was enrolled into the promotion right after the order transaction, which has not showed up for my Costco order yet.

Signed up for the deal via Costco T-Mobile over the dedicated phone line 833-428-1765. Process was fairly straightforward and agent was pretty pleasant to work with. Only upsell attempts were device protection and home internet, no attempt to sell different plan.
$100 costco gift card and activation charge waived. Apparently takes 4 months (!) for gift card to be issued.
Are you able to see promo on T-Mobile account as others are reporting promo not visible anywhere from Costco deal???

I just did the upgrade through Costco. She clearly told me that the Pixel Fold I am trading in would get a $150 credit with the remaining $650 spread out over the EIP. She was knowledgable and fast. The only attempts to upsell was for the protection plan and a Pixel watch.

Two months ago, my mom decided to switch carriers from AT&T to T-Mobile. Since I'm still on the account, I brought my Pixel 8 Pro over. We have 5 lines.

The rep applied a bunch of promos for 4 new phones. Then, the sales rep told me to wait to do a trade-in when the 10 comes out. Fast forward to yesterday, customer service tells me I have to pay for the phone upfront because we exceeded $3600 in financing... Which we would've exceeded on day one if I had gotten the Pixel 9 when we switched over. Are there any workarounds?

Bought S20 FEs off Ebay for $90 each as trade-in. Called Costco line and got $300 Costco card for 3 lines. Only $25 a month extra for 10/10 Pro 128/10 Pro 256. Not bad at all especially for me being on Essentials plan which almost never offers such deals!

Costco T-Mobile SIS is T-mobile. Costco's only involvement is renting T-mobile floorspace in their stores and requiring T-mobile to honor a 90 day return policy and provide their members with giftcards / DCC waiver. Everything else is T-mobile, including employees and the 1-833 call center.

T-mobile documentation do not traditionally contain promotional trade-in amounts. Online is the only sales channel that lists out the trade-in promotional values. The PDFs and emailed documents won't have it.

You can check if the promotion attached by checking your online account. It can take between 1 day - months for the promotion to show up. Also, sometimes the line with the promotion may get a text message saying a promotion was added.

Do your due diligence, all of these experiences have been covered in depth on previous T-mobile trade-in deals, including when things go wrong.

Just finished talking to costco rep. Received the EIP agreement over email and it says the 24 month payment as full amount without the discount and the discount is not mentioned anywhere. Is this normal?

No customer facing agent has control over your T-mobile financing limit. It will naturally increase over time and on time payments. 2 options:

1) If what's left is insufficient to cover the full cost of your upgrade, you will have to pay the difference upfront. If you go for the promotional trade-in, then the excess RDC will be a credit on your bill for the next 24 months.
2) Pay off your current EIPs to free up financing. You will lose any corresponding RDCs.

Also, I just noticed that in the EIP agreement, the buyer details is that of Primary account holder and their address(in a different state). Is this normal as well? I did specifically mention that I want the device to be delivered to my address.

If it makes you feel any better, the costco kiosk guy said in person the promo was applied, but it's not mentioned on any of the documents.
