Does Pixel 9a get the $800 credit? Didn't see it on the list.

Went for the 256 Pro model (non-XL). T-mobile site states shipping by 9/16 to 10/15 . Hopefully not accurate as the Costco rep stated it should ship by 8/29.
My t-mobile rep warned me that there was high demand for these Pixels. Told me they can't guarantee a date. The next business day shipping is also a crapshoot because it might be OOS on release date.
Bummer!

I just went into my t-life app and ran through the upgrade process, but put a 9a as the trade in instead of my phone and it said $385. You might come up with something different based on your plan, etc. just go into the t-life app and run through the upgrade process through the point that it gives you a trade in value.

I'm debating whether to purchase a Costco membership for the deal. It's $70 for membership, same as activation fee for me 2 lines but I get the taxes back by the way of $200 in GC correct?

Absolutely worth it even if you don't use the membership for anything else this year. You don't get the taxes back for the shop cards, only the activation fees.

Yes, the Costco GCs basically cancel out the taxes. If it wasn't obvious, you will only get the Costco GCs after 90 + some days (after your return window expires) and they can only be used at Costco. If you discover that your Costco membership isn't worth it at the end, you can cancel anytime and get a refund of your membership.

Costco appears innocuous, but it's very easy to blow hundreds every trip. Those $100 GCs do not last long.

Damn,my wife and son just switched to 9a because of the battery issues. I have a 7 but the screen has a bad area, could replace the screen I suppose, or buy used device from the list for the trade..

Decisions, decisions
Bad area or cracked area. Physical damage to the screen is a no-go, but burn in or dead pixels aren't. But I would do whatever trade in-store to make sure it's accepted.

That's awful. Even the 7a and 6a are listed as $400. Why the snub, and big time too.

If you have one near you it's worth it just for the price of gas. My Costco usually beats every station by 10-15 cents/gallon.

Nop, I've done more than 6 trade ins in the past 8 years of being with T-Mobile . in my past orders the full RDC credit total immediately shows up . there are two screenshots in my previous post to show the difference . both pixel 7 & the note 9 are listed for 800$ credit in tmobile online . but one order shows full 800$ credit , other order shows only 60$ credit . I think T-Mobile system (online vs costco ) works differently . anyways , I'll check with tmo customer care to see what's going on and post back, other may find it useful !

EDIT : below is what i found , there are two ways Tmobile pays out the RDC depending on the channel on which order was placed online vs over costco T-mobile helpline . one method (orders on t-mobile.com) immediately on placing the order the full 800$ credit will show up as pending credits in the orders section . second method (orders via tmobile costco or phone support , etc ) only the device FCV example 60$ will show as pending in orders section . the remaining 740$ for example will show up after the phone ships and trade is received and enrolled in the promo . i know its confusing but that is how it seems to be working , checkout reddit for more info.
https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...require_a/ [reddit.com]

So did you get an immediate $60 credit to offset the sales taxes of the phone you paid for the preorder or did you pay the full amount in sales tax to place the order?

Assume sales tax on the full phone is $100 for this example, did you pay $40 ($100 - $60 Note 9 trade in credit) on the Costco order and will receive the $740 in remaining credits after doing the trade in OR did you pay $100 still and the $60 credit will come in your next billing cycle and the $740 in remaining credits after doing the trade in?
60$ FMV Fair Market value one time credit will be credited only after they get my trade in phone . the remaining 740$ will be credited across 24 months . i paid 70$ sales tax separately . Costco waived the 35$ activation fee and i was told i will get a 100$ Costco gift card after 60 - 90 days . i am on the MAGENTA plan .
to summarize : note 9- 70$ Tax +100$gift card = pixel 10 + 30$ credit .

Not true. Last year for the 9 pro, I just submitted a fake IMEI, and traded in the S10E later on. It still worked.

Samsung S10e can be had for $100 or less... May take awhile to find one without cracked glass.
