I already received the pro 128 ($999, through Costco) and traded in the previous phone - anyone know if I can swap to the XL at no or minimal cost to me?
I tried this in store today and was successful! key things to note:- not all reps know if you bought through Costco you don't have to pay restocking- I believe you have to be within 14 days of the order date (unclear if order date or received date) - they'll charge the tax on the new phone but refund the tax on the old phone since it's a return
Thanks for the intel. Were you able to transfer your data from the returned phone to the new one?

So how to return the pixel 10 and get PRO XL? Do I bring the phone to Tmobile store or can I go to Costco for return? Prefer costco so I can place new order the same time.

No problem! And you can open the new phone in store and transfer if you'd like. I had already reset the phone prior to going, but the associates asked if I wanted help transferring/setting up the XL. Would also recommend doing some research online first to see which locations have the phone you are wanting in stock.

You would be returning the Pixel 10 Pro and getting the Pro XL. I'm not sure about going to Costco to return since I did mine in-store. As long as you're within the return window, you would be returning your old phone +taxes paid and being charged for the XL + taxes paid (comes out to net even, but just the process they had to run through)

If they do a return and rebuy, I think that will nullify the Costco rebate on the initial purchase.

I tried going to the original Costco store where I ordered the 10 Pro from, plus a few other local corp T-mobile stores. No one seemed to know if I'd lose out on the Costco rebate as a result of the return/exchange. The first non-Costco store I went to wanted me to order the replacement through T-Life, which would charge me the activate fee.

I traded in 4 phones Saturday at the local T-mobile experience store. When I checked in, the employee tried very hard to get me to leave and do the trade in by mail with the kits. He said they've been having "problems" with the trade in credits affecting your monthly bill if you do it in store. I insisted it wasn't worth the risk of mailing in, especially doing 4.

After everything was completed, I think I finally figured out what he was talking about. When you trade in phones in store, the actual trade in value portion of the phone gets credited to your account immediately, while the remainder of your promo credit gets applied over the next 24 bills. I guess it all gets spread across 24 months if you trade by mail. It still costs me the same in the end - the immediate credit causes me to not owe anything the first month and only a partial bill the second month, and in the remaining months, it will be higher by around $9.

I'm REALLY glad I did the trade in store, because apparently the T-mobile employee (through the Costco line) I ordered with did not enter the correct IMEI number for one of my trade ins. I'm not talking a character or two off, it was completely different while still somehow being the same model (S20FE). They had problems getting the order submitted and had to call me back several hours later when it was back in stock, so I'm assuming he copied and pasted someone else'e IMEI. Since I was in store, they were able to swap to the correct IMEI and the credits seem to have correctly applied. I'm not sure what would happen if you sent in a different IMEI to the mail in center.

I had a similar issue and I freaked out the whole night because tmobile trade ins are really particular about IMEIs. I was glad when the credits updated right the next day.

Just called the Costco 833 number to place the order for Pro XL. It took long time as their system is slow, but it eventually went through. I will return my order of Pixel 10. I placed the XL order on different phone line to avoid possible hassle receving the Costco rebate. My only concern is both the two orders used the same trade-in phone (because i will return 1st order). Hopefully T-mobile will not mess this up.

Lets say I order 3 phones on 3 lines. 2 of the lines are my daughter's and they use iPhone. Once I get the phone do I need to activate to get the credit and costco $100 card. If I activate can I go back to iphones they are using? If they go back to iphones I am hoping I will still get the credits. Looks like for XL we would be paying $10/month. Any help is appreciated. The costco rep said I will loose the credit if I switch to different phone. It could be the rep doesn't know about it. In past I did that. Not sure if any rules changed.

I think in situations like this the timing is really what matters here. I would first make sure the Pixel 10 is returned it ASAP to avoid turning in the phone late. The Tmobile system should update saying that your order has been returned. Then when you get the Pixel 10 Pro XL you have 30 days to do the official trade in of the phone so I would delay the trade in of the your trade-in device as long as you can just to ensure everything is in the clear. I don't expect Tmobile to mess it up since the regular Pixel 10 EIP has been cancelled with the return of the Pixel 10.

make sure your charger can support PPS charging. up to 25w for pixel and 45w for XL model.

My chargers only charges my pixel 10 pro xl at 18w. Purchased new charger and it charges 45w now.
