I've bought 3 keys from Groupon and never had an issue. Oldest key being 3 years.
Unless you are building a computer from scratch, 99% of people shouldn't ever need to purchase a windows key. A windows key is hardcoded into the firmware of most pre-built desktops and laptops already. It automatically gets passed to the OS when you clean install the OS from MS's site, you never enter a key.

You're buying grey market keys, basically pirated. tons of key resellers online. this is no more legitimate just because it's advertised on Groupon.
