- To become a Gold member, you must:
- Be a Google Play Pass subscriber ($4.99/mo. or $29.99/year)
- Have spent at least $600 or 600 Play Points (or any combination of real-world money + Play Points to equal 600 in total) on the Google Play Store.
- Visit the Perks section of your Google Play account.
- If eligible, claim your Pixel 10 Pro / Pro 10 XL promo code.
- Visit the Google Store to purchase your Pixel 10 Pro or 10 Pro XL series smartphone using your unique promo code (non-Fold model) unlocked smartphone (price will vary by storage size selected):

Last year, Google offered a similar discount (30% off) on Pixel 9 series phones for Google Play Gold, Platinum, and Diamond members. The promotion was accessible via the Perks section in the Google Play app. Eligibility was based on membership tier and activity.
The offer applied to Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL models, excluding the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The discount code was valid until December 2, 2024. The code could not be combined with other promotions, but trade-ins were permitted. Some users reported getting a Pixel 9 Pro XL for as low as $71 after applying the 30% discount and trading in a Pixel 8 Pro. More discussion: Slickdeals thread
If the 30% off perk isn't showing, try enabling web and ad personalization, clearing the Play Store cache, and restarting the app. This helped some users access the offer. More info: Google Support thread [google.com]
For users not yet Gold, subscribing to Google Play Pass ($4.99/month) [google.com] could upgrade your status and make the perk available. Availability was limited to certain U.S. users.

I'm deep in the Google ecosystem, use gmail, google photos, google one and YouTube premium (yep I'm aware we have received $125 coupon offers in the past such as this and this).
I'm currently bronze but only have the Google One 200MB plan.

Google's seemingly random distribution of codes is annoying and actively disincentives purchases for those of us who actually pay attention to such things.
I've had most Nexus and Pixel devices that have existed and I would likely upgrade again if I could get the best deal possible, but since I know the best deal possible involves a $200 off randomly distributed code for which I wasn't selected I likely won't upgrade this year unless a better deal presents itself.
