update: via customer support...
"This applies to both Black and Yellow, depending on the user's location. During the redemption process, they'll be asked which state the tickets will be used in, and from there they'll be able to download the appropriate Black or Yellow tickets."
So if you live in California, New Jersey or New York make sure you choose Black tickets!

Excludes new releases huh? So how new are we talking? How long do you have to wait to see a movie? Also, is this something that has to be used right away? Can I buy it now and use it for a movie that comes out in November and another that comes out in December, for example?
