Is this from the Dell outlet or refurbished, the latitude is a business class computer vs the consumer grade.
metal vs plastic frame and a host of other higher quality parts. I would get the Dell if it is from the Dell outlet.

It did not say Dell outlet.

But did say Dellrefurbished.com

The dellrefurbished computers are off lease that have been refurbished by Dell which is good and right now they have 45% off which is nice. They do not mention battery capacity so I would expect that the battery life may not be the best or they put in new batteries as part of the refurbishment. In my IT experience most employees with a laptop leave them plugged in all the time and even though it should not it does seem to decrease the battery life after 2-3 years. If you can you may want to call and talk to someone you might be able to find out just how old a laptop is or even better the service tag which will tell you a lot about the computer.

I would go for the latitude with the 1 year warranty and work the hell out of the hinge when you first get it that is what is going to fail. The SSD drive can be replaced for less than a hundred bucks so you might want to plan on that if 256 seems low to you.

You get a better laptop for the money either by getting a newer refurbished machine in better condition from dell outlet or buying a cheaper used machine from dellrefurbished.com and possibly upgrading ram / ssd yourself.

Neither of these are impressive, even at $500-$700. Look at passmark for each : about 10k for the first one, 15k for the second one. (Yes, the second one is a good bit faster; I would not get an 11th gen Intel CPU in 2025....)

OP: I would set up alerts in the Slickdeals forum; you should be able to beat both deals by quite a bit with new machines by sitting on this for a bit and waiting for deals. Always find the CPU in question, google it, and find the passmark score for it. Use that to compare performance. It's not perfect, but it's a very safe start.
