Curious if anyone can comment on the warmth. Last 10 years I've lived in a very warm climate year round and now I'm in Maryland and in need of a winter jacket. Unsure if something like this would do the job for winter days outdoors.
I was always hesitant to pull the trigger on an expensive lightweight jacket like this. After purchasing one last year I would say it warms very well for its weight.
While my input may not be as helpful as I've mostly used it for Florida winters and the occasional trip up to northern states, I can say I was comfortable all last season on even the coldest days here without the need for layers. I layered for casual winter use in colder climates and was happy to not have the bulk.
For being outside in mountain areas in the winter though a full down jacket is probably gonna be a better idea for anyone choosing between the two options
What temperature is this jacket for? Doesn't look warm enough if it's really cold?
What size if you are about 5'8 and 155 pounds?

Jacket and a tshirt? Probably 40's. Jacket and a sweatshirt under it? 30's
It isn't a jacket for really cold weather. It is a jacket for cold to moderate weather as an outter piece or really cold weather as a layer.
Medium
So this jacket is for temperature from 30 to 50 degrees then depending on what you wear underneath?
With so many jackets and coats online where they show the model who is 6 feet or 6'2 wearing a medium, I'm surprised you said medium for this jacket. So small is way too tight then?

I've heard really good things about these jackets so I'm excited to check it out.
